Recovery of Place

It might be a somehow violent operation; but its results will be conditioned by its capacity to bring out from the clash between old and new, the dialectical link between historicity and permanence of the ancient textures and the values of the present, the changeable, the arbitrary, the energetic, typical of contemporary life and architecture.

When Aldo Rossi compares the town to a great architectural manufactured product and looks for the elements able to verify its meanings, or when Aymonimo sets the basis for a planning in which typology and morphology are confronted, the dissolving of the phenomenon architecture in its context is rejected in favor of the recovery of the specific meanings of the town place.
